In order to assist a
vessel that is having a problem (out of fuel, aground, engine malfunction, etc.)
and charge them for your assistance, you must have your license endorsed for
"Commercial Assistance
Towing".
Or, if you've ever thought
of going to work for any of the "Sea Tow Type"
operations throughout the country, this endorsement will be required on your license.
