A USCG Endorsement course is a more specialized training program approved by the USCG. It is for mariners who already hold a Merchant Mariner Credential and are looking to add specific qualifications to their existing license.
Generally, mariners must have a Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) to take part in a USCG endorsement course. For many courses, there are additional prerequisites, most notably sea time requirements, that mariners seeking endorsements should understand before taking a course.

After successfully completing a USCG endorsement course, you will receive a course completion certificate.
