Instructor Bio

Meet Steve McElhose, Sea School’s Director of Training

Captain Steve McElhose holds an Unlimited Master’s License with Dynamic Positioning certification. He has extensive experience commanding vessels in the Deepwater Drilling industry and with Military Sealift Command on various replenishment and cargo ships. Prior to joining Sea School, Steve worked with Crowley Maritime as a Navigation and DP Assessor, specializing in training and bridge team evaluations. He is an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute and has served on the Puget Sound Pilots Training & Evaluation Committee.
