Advanced Stability - Approvals
General
- Completion of this training will satisfy the Advanced Stability training requirements as specified in Table A-II/2 of the STCW Code for certification as Master or Chief Mate on vessels of 500 or more gross tonnage (ITC).
- The practical assessments conducted in this course will be accepted as the equivalent of the following assessments from the National Assessment Guidelines for Table A-II/2 of the STCW Code: M-9-1A; M-9-1B; M-9-1C; and M-9-1D.
- Applicants who have successfully completed this course need not present the completed “Control Sheets” for these assessments in application for STCW certification.
Advanced Stability FAQs
This course is recommended for maritime officers upgrading to Chief Mate or Master endorsements on vessels with 500 gross tons (ITC) or more. Candidates should have a fundamental understanding of ship stability or relative maritime experience before taking this course. Contact us with questions.
