Advanced Fire fighting Refresher Course for Mariners
This renewal/refresher course is designed for maritime personnel who have previously completed the Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW) course and need to update their skills and knowledge. It ensures compliance with the latest STCW standards and practices in fire fighting and safety.

Sea School’s two (2) day training course keeps mariners up to date on fire prevention, detection, and fire fighting techniques through classroom instruction and practical assessments.
Each student who successfully completes this course will satisfy the training for Advanced Firefighting Revalidation requirements of STCW code Section A-VI/3 to include the ability to react in a correct manner in the event of an outbreak of fire, to take appropriate measures for the safety of personnel and the ship, and to use the fire appliances correctly. This course is required to be taken every 5 years for anyone holding an advanced firefighting certification who does NOT have 360 days of qualifying sea service in the previous 5 years to meet Section A-VI/3 and Table A-VI/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 2010.
