My journey on the water began in 1975 as a deckhand, working on shrimp and oyster boats before moving to offshore tugs. I earned my AB Unlimited rating in 1978 and progressed through Coast Guard licensing, culminating in a Master of Oceans, Uninspected Towing Vessels license in 1983. In 1994, I founded my own company. After a period living in Bolivia, I've returned to my passion for maritime education, now teaching at Sea School in Bayou la Batre.
