Captain John knew that he wanted to become a maritime captain at an early age when he first took the helm of a charter boat as a child. John grew up working on multiple charter boats heading back and forth to Hudson Canyon furthering his passion for the maritime industry. In 1977, John purchased his first boat, a 30’ Pacemaker and has since owned Mako’s, Nauset’s, Eastern’s, Calvin Beal’s and currently a 31’ Steiger Craft. John has always taken pride in vessel ownership and they have been maintained to the highest standards. In addition to running his own vessel John helps out as a third captain on an 84’ yacht running it from New England to Florida and back and in cruises in the New England waters during the summer. John currently holds 100 Ton, near coastal Masters license with a towing endorsement and is an education director at Portsmouth Yacht Club.
