My maritime career began on New York Harbor tugs, starting as an OS Deckhand. Through Sea School courses and accumulating sea time, I advanced to AB Deckhand, Lifeboatman, and PIC, which fueled my pursuit of a Mate's License. I now hold a 500 Ton Master of Towing (Oceans) and a 1600 Ton Mate of Towing (Oceans), along with all necessary STCW endorsements. My experience includes running ATBs in the Gulf of Mexico and along the East Coast, navigating major ports from Port Everglades to St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. I've operated tugs pushing barges carrying refined petroleum products, chemicals, and heavy black oils. I'm particularly passionate about the subjects I teach at Sea School, as they reflect the core of my own training and experience.
